The sun sits between Earth and the stars that make up the constellation Virgo, so from our point of view, as our planet rotates, the sun moves across the sky in front of Virgo. ![]() From our point of view, that means the sun rises and sets through a series of different constellations, depending on where we are in our orbit (and what month it is). ![]() As we move around the sun, we follow the same path over and over again.
